The Thing lives! It's either prison or a life of crime for the FF! And then- meet the Overbrain! Guest-starring the Watcher.

While Ben lies seemingly dead with no apparent heartbeat after a devastating blow from the now-departed Hulk, Reed remembers that Ben's skin is thicker than regular humans, and gets them back to the lab so he can use more sensitive equipment on him. Sure enough, there is a heartbeat, and Reed manages to revive Ben and cure him at the same time.

Reed offers to try to turn Ben human once more, this time with no side-effect, but Ben smashes the machine, realizing he was truly happier as the Thing.

No sooner has this problem been resolved, thanThe Watcher appears, with a new prophetic warning: "Beware the Over-Mind!" And the warning can't come too soon- for the strange alien has already landed!
